Public Relations Principles and Concepts

Public Relations Principles and Concepts (PRL 206), a required class for all PR students explored the history and future of Public Relations, digital trends, ethics, ensuring two-way communication between the public and corporations, etc.

Below are my major assignments from the class.

This assignment had us write a news angle about a guest speaker in a Public Relations field from any Newhouse Speaks event. Hence, it was only fitting for me to write about the impressive Newhouse alum, Tim Schlittner.

For this assignment, we independently interviewed and wrote a paper on an individual within PR while applying our learning from the course textbook. My paper features Cady Chow, who is currently working at the Circuit of the Americas, famously known for hosting a F1 Grand Prix amongst others.

The final major assignment was a paper of an existing organisation (IshitaUnblogged), including a review with a detailed plan of recommendations for future growth by creating a goal, objectives and strategies using theories and procedures learned in class.
